EAGLES CELEBRATE AMERICA WITH MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT

Cheney, Wash. -- The Eastern Washington University Eagles hockey club is excited to announce the hosting of Military Appreciation Night on November 9th, when the team faces the Montana Tech Orediggers at the Eastern Washington University Recreation Center.

The first 500 fans through the doors will receive a mini American flag to wave proudly during the national anthem and the game. All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear red, white and blue and show their appreciation for all current and former service members in attendance. Those service members in attendance, including those playing in the game, will be recognized prior to the game.

"The military appreciation night has been a staple for EWU Hockey since before I was involved with the program. I am honored to carry on the tradition." Says Club Sports Coordinator, Travis Allen, "I feel it takes on an even more important role now that we have a few players on the team who have either served or are still serving. We don't want those guys or anyone else to think we don't appreciate everything they have done and still do to allow us to continue to play the game we love."

Throughout the week, the Eagles will be highlighting players who have been involved with the armed forces, on the team's social media platforms and website.

To show their appreciation, the Eagles are offering free admission to all active and former service members who present a valid ID. All EWU Students will also recieve free admission with a valid student ID, as well as children 12 and under. Admission for all others is $5, payable at the door in cash only.
