EAGLES HEAD TO LAKE TAHOE TO MAKE INAUGURAL PAC8 CHAMPIONSHIP APPEARANCE
CHENEY, WASH - After a massively successful first season in the Pacific 8 Hockey Conference, the Eastern Washington University Eagles head to the conference championship tournament in Lake Tahoe, California as the #2 seed from the North division.
The Eagles wrapped up their regular season schedule over the weekend with two wins on the road against Western Washington University and will head into the tournament with an impressive 20-6 overall record, going 10-2 in conference play. Eastern's conference record is tied for best in PAC8, but lost the #1 seed by way of the goals against tiebreaker to Boise State.
EWU will hit the ice for the first time in Lake Tahoe against the #3 seed from the South division, the San Jose State Spartans (13-9-1, 6-6) at 7pm on Friday night. A win would then require the Eagles to play at 4pm Saturday against either CAL or UW before a potential championship game appearance at noon on Sunday.
